Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Pune/Chennai/Delhi for a Channel Development Specialist. The role involves managing and growing relationships with channel partners, developing and executing channel sales strategies, and identifying new partnership opportunities. You will be responsible for analyzing market trends and performance data, supporting sales efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Creating dealer and distributor partnerships to sell Filtration products will be your primary responsibility. Regular communication with channel partners and reporting on sales progress will be key components of this role.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Channel Sales and managing Channel Partners in Filtration or other Indian aftermarket products.
  • Experience with channel development in companies such as Fleetguard, Donaldson, Mann and Hummel, Luman, and Mahle.
  • Proficiency in Sales techniques and strategies
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills to assess market trends, evaluate data, and strategize accordingly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in creating and managing successful channel development programs, appointing dealers, distributors, and managing their performance.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt strategies to meet evolving business demand.

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Marketing Manager – Sales (Aftermarket Segment) to lead our aftermarket business and strengthen our market presence across regions and channels. This is a high-impact role for a professional with proven experience in channel development, distributor network setup, aftermarket sales growth, and customer relationship management.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience from reputed companies in the filtration, automotive, industrial, or aftermarket space such as Fleetguard, M&H, Donaldson, Parker, Mahle, or Lumax/Luman. The role requires the ability to build distribution networks, drive product availability, develop market coverage, and maximize sales through effective execution in the field.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the complete aftermarket sales function, developing new business opportunities, and building a strong and scalable channel network. You will work closely with distributors, dealers, retailers, workshops, and industrial customers to expand product reach, strengthen customer relationships, and deliver profitable and sustainable sales growth. The position demands a commercially driven individual who understands how to convert market opportunities into revenue and how to build high-performing distribution systems in competitive markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales and marketing efforts for the aftermarket segment with clear accountability for revenue growth, market expansion, and channel performance.
  • Develop and execute sales plans, market development strategies, and channel expansion initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify, appoint, onboard, and manage distributors, dealers, and channel partners in target markets to improve product availability and market reach.
  • Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, workshops, and industrial customers to drive business development and long-term growth.
  • Drive secondary sales and improve throughput by ensuring distributor engagement, field execution, sales planning, and regular performance reviews.
  • Prepare territory-wise sales plans, visit schedules, business reviews, and action plans to maximize market coverage and sales productivity.
  • Track competitor activity, pricing trends, new product movements, and customer demand patterns to identify market opportunities and strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Support product positioning, promotional activities, and channel engagement programs to accelerate product movement and improve visibility in the market.
  • Monitor sales performance, collections, margins, and channel effectiveness, and take corrective actions to improve business outcomes.
  • Work closely with internal teams including operations, marketing, and leadership to ensure strong execution, customer responsiveness, and business alignment.
  • Contribute to team capability building by supporting recruitment, coaching, training, and performance development of the sales team where required.

Preferred Industry Background

Candidates with relevant experience from companies such as Fleetguard, M&H, Donaldson, Parker, Mahle, or Lumax/Luman will be strongly preferred. We are especially interested in professionals who have worked in filtration, automotive aftermarket, industrial products, or related sectors and have demonstrated success in distributor setup, channel development, aftermarket sales management, and territory expansion.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in aftermarket sales, channel development, distributor management, and business growth.
  • Strong understanding of dealer/distributor appointment processes, market coverage planning, and territory development.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales performance, expand market reach, and build strong customer and channel relationships.
  • Sound commercial acumen with the ability to manage pricing, margins, collections, and business negotiations.
  • Strong analytical and execution skills with the ability to translate market insights into action.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and team coordination capabilities.
  • Experience in handling aftermarket products in automotive, filtration, industrial, or related sectors will be an advantage.
